can't believe the weekend is already over! i guess back to school and work tomorrow...wish these highly anticipated weekends wouldnt fly by so quickly though...oh well, i suppose there's always next weekend to look forward to now! anyway, enough complaining...here are some pics from last nights halloween/birthday shin dig with heidi's friends. as you can see it was a blast. it was really fun seeing and hanging out with everyone again...especially since i got off the hook by not having a food assignment. sweet!
earlier sat i took the cluffs to the 3D version of the nightmare before christmas. it was pretty cool! im a bit biased though since thats one of my all time favorite movies...so hopefully they enjoyed it too. no, they actually really like that movie too so it was pretty fun being able to see it in 3D with them. i think the next time i take them we'll go laser tagging. cant wait...i will destroy them.

so while eating my birthday lunch at this pretty sweet restaurant with my family in vegas, this song came on that all of us liked but none of us knew who was singing it. well thanks to google and youtube the mystery is unraveled. paulo nutini. anyway, its a pretty cool song and i actually prefer this live version over that of the studio single. give it a listen.
vegas was really fun. the new baby is such a cool little guy and jay is as funny as ever...too bad coybin couldnt make it, but at least we were able to see him the week before. anywho, glad i was able to hang out and spend my big time birthday in vegas with most of the fam. ill have to snake some pictures from heidi or mom and post them on the blog.

ps - heidi was a trooper and drove the majority of the way home so i could sleep...thanks lu. ("kyle's sleeping next to me right now so i cant talk about that right now")

psss - i hate saying this kels, but the pats really are looking good. its only cuase they cheated against the jets though and got their momentum going early in the season! ha ha just kidding...maybe its just cause tom brady is amazing.

fall break

so today is the official second day this week that i have been able to sleep in...till 11:00...hooray fall break! too bad i couldnt get work off this week...otherwise id have been sleeping in everyday...oh well, two days are better than none.

so what else is new?, well lets see, not much. last weekend i was able to watch conference which was really good. I particularly enjoyed the talks by elder bednar, elder holland, elder enrique falabella, elder utchdorf, elder oaks, and elder monsons talk about the mom who lost her son during the war. heidi and i were able to go to the tabernacle on temple square and watch the sat afternoon session. we wanted to try and sneak into the conference center but it was too full...watching it at the tabernacle was fun all the same though. in fact i thought it was really cool to see how elder nelson helped elder wirthlin throughout his talk. pretty cool. otherwise, not much else to update about...im pumped to hear that coybin, clark, and staci are heading to town this weekend. it will be really fun to see and play with coybin this week and then be able to head out to vegas the following and play with jay and rex. pretty cool. well thats about it for today, talk to you all later.

how about manny's walk off homerun yesterday! Go redsox...and way to go yankees blowing it in extra innings. looks like things are going in my favor thus far in the playoffs...lets hope it keeps up.




nice job utes beating louisville!...in kentuky! good thing we cant figure out how to beat conference opponents though. oh well, beating ucla and louisville still makes the season thus far pretty sweet.

october baseball

so it all starts tonight!!! october baseball is so cool. i really think its the most exciting playoff system/atmosphere out of all the sports...basketball is ok, but only if the jazz are good...like last year...and football, despite being good, just doesnt compare. anyway, everyone tune your tv sets at 6:30 eastern so you can watch the redsox angels game...everyone but me that is...i dont have tv...crap. oh well, GO REDSOX. -- the pics below are from heidi's friend kelsey and are from when we went out last saturday night with her hike skoo friends. it was a lot of fun and her friends are all really cool. the new york amazins

sorry to do this chad, but i cant believe the mets didnt make the playoffs! they were the supposed NL lock to go to the world series for nearly most of the season. its amazing how they worked their way out of the post season...and what the hex happened to glavin yesterday? not fun to be a mets fan right now.

p.s. ...i dominate fantasy football this year.

p.s.s. ...saturday was a cool day...first snow of the season. heidi and i were up at her cabin sat morning when it all started coming down and it was really pretty with the changing leaves and all. nothing really stuck in the valley of course but it was still fun seeing the big flakes fall...especially during the utah game.
