october baseball

so it all starts tonight!!! october baseball is so cool. i really think its the most exciting playoff system/atmosphere out of all the sports...basketball is ok, but only if the jazz are good...like last year...and football, despite being good, just doesnt compare. anyway, everyone tune your tv sets at 6:30 eastern so you can watch the redsox angels game...everyone but me that is...i dont have tv...crap. oh well, GO REDSOX. -- the pics below are from heidi's friend kelsey and are from when we went out last saturday night with her hike skoo friends. it was a lot of fun and her friends are all really cool. the new york amazins

sorry to do this chad, but i cant believe the mets didnt make the playoffs! they were the supposed NL lock to go to the world series for nearly most of the season. its amazing how they worked their way out of the post season...and what the hex happened to glavin yesterday? not fun to be a mets fan right now.

p.s. ...i dominate fantasy football this year.

p.s.s. ...saturday was a cool day...first snow of the season. heidi and i were up at her cabin sat morning when it all started coming down and it was really pretty with the changing leaves and all. nothing really stuck in the valley of course but it was still fun seeing the big flakes fall...especially during the utah game.

Elder Holland

ive decided that i need to be better about not allowing so much time to pass in betweeen my blog posts...so here goes for some updates. Since new york things have been going well...busy, but really well. i cant really update on school since i kind of havent been for a week or so, but as far as i know, everything is going well...at least i hope so...ill let you know after i triumphantly return to classes tomorrow. as for work, things have been about the same. we however find ourselves a bit more busy as of late since one of our inspectors has taken a short leave of absence due to his national guard duties. as result, each of us has to pitch in in order to pick up his inspection load...luckily its the end of summer and construction has slowed...a little. -- last night was pretty cool, elder holland put on a fireside at the "U" insitite that i was able to attend with heidi. ive always really enjoyed hearing elder holland speak so i was pretty excited to go. he speaks with such passion and strength that ive kind of always seen him as the mormon version of a deep south bible baptist preacher. he spoke a lot about missionary work and also the importance of continual personal growth and progression. he also gave an apostalic blessing to the congregation at the end of his talk, which was a really good experience...well its 6:04 and i only have to work till six so im outa here. talk to you later

New York New York

sorry its been a while since my last post...but ive been in NEW YORK! anyway, here are some pics form me and heidi's trip. it was a ton of fun. we kind of got stuck trying to get back though. we had stand by tickets that didnt quite work out so in order for us to get home we had to fly across the country to LA, stay the night there, and then come home the next day. it was a bit crazy but fun all the same.-- school is going pretty good, last week was a bit busy with papers and all but thats how it goes. -- oh while in new york we went to the micheal buble concert and it was really cool. you guys should check him out if you dont know about him yet. probably one of the best shows ive seen

Yuba Lake

so last weekend i was able to go with some friends and camp out at yuba lake and ski the following day. it was a blast. couldnt have had better skiing water. anyways, these pics are of me and heidi at yuba and then me jeff heidi and her sister at the utah game...ps the utes suck
